Cricket St.Thomas
Working against a tight deadline to complete this contract for Mildren Construction, our landscaping teams worked long hours to finish the new courtyard and hotel complex for Warner Hotels at Cricket St Thomas. These doe, faun and peacock willow sculptures were specially commissioned by an artist from Cambridge and installed as the final element of the project.
Sourcing plants and trees from all over Europe, we worked in conjunction with landscape architect Simon Laws from the Andrew Davis Partnership in Worcester. With 75 litre container grown Photinias pleached in our own nursery, our team planted the trees, high secification shrubs and laid fine turf in two new courtyards. Team leader Callum Farquhar enjoyed the challenge to finish on time and is delighted with the results. We now have the bonus of maintaining the work for a full year and to see plants and trees establish and mature.
